In the art milieu, artists see revolving around them critics,
gallery owners, curators, art collectioner... Roles and destiny
ares decided in advance, just like at the stock exchange by
those who control the market. The media justifies it's choices
just like players orchestrate applause. In today's art arena,
roles are reversed and the bull has become the torrero and
the temporary master of the game. In Second Life, everyone
can mesure themselves against the bull-torrero. The first
time the horn hits, he is sent to seventh heaven, away from
the arenas, somewhere in the landscape. If he wantes to try
his chance again he has to do it following a certain itenarery
heavily reinforced with thousands of bits of information and
find again this root and the arenas to confront again the
bull-torrero. To do this, his back to the sea, he will always
advance in a straight line until he gets to a moment where
in a mirage he will see the arenas.
We can easily imagine how Goya, Daumier and Dubuffet would
have reacted to Second Life given their iconoclastic vain.
