As if nothing ever happened, the big dance goes on like before—so let’s get in
on the fun!
The French media artist FRED FOREST cordially invites you to join him in Second
Life, in the shadow of Wall Street, for The Traders’ Ball, a grand and joyous
public celebration he has planned in honor of the global financial crisis. Come
get your freak on with us! Party like there’s no tomorrow!
The event will be webcast live from Manhattan starting at 6:00 p.m. E.S.T. on
Friday, June 11th, the date of the opening
at The Lab Gallery, located at the corner of 501 Lexington Avenue, at the
corner of Lexington and 47th Street, where you can join us dressed in the
costume of your choice (e.g. a bailed-out banker, an undertaker …); or join us
in Second Life, where you can attend the ball from anywhere in world without
having to deal with the hassles of public transportation. Don’t miss out on the
party of the year!

The music will be in the hands of the legendary New York rapper JAMALSKI, who
will orchestrate the feverish movements of the dancers to a syncopated beat
based directly on the real-time fluctuation of the financial markets—the
can’t-miss smash hit of the summer of 2010.
Almost everybody knows by now that the global financial and ECONOMIC CRISIS is
not merely the effect of “natural” causes, a normal part of the workings of the
free market, but the inevitable result of calculated FINANCIAL OPERATIONS on a
massive scale, undertaken by powerful banks and investment houses, which out of
a pure spirit of philanthropy and generosity, have brought entire nations to
the brink of bankruptcy, in pursuit of the wellbeing of the people the world.
Come join us in large numbers in Second Life or on the sidewalk outside the Lab
Gallery for this special dance marathon. The more the merrier! The Traders’
Ball will continue daily through July2nd, 2010. The success of this event
depends as much on your mass participation as it does on the unfailing
generosity of the world’s bankers, pension funds, and the dedicated public
servants responsible for the regulation of the financial markets.
