A partir de quarta-feira 3 de Março de 2010, Fred Forest apresenta um novo
trabalho a partir de seu Território Experimental no Second Life. Uma
iniciativa que propõe, por meio de uma simulacão e através do diálogo que ela
instaura, uma divisão equitável de um território a partir de critérios
geográficos, políticos, culturais, criando assim comunidades que se disputam
entre si e que tentam se apropriar do território da outra.
CONCEPT
HIS EXHIBBITION/ACTION IN BEIRUT:
For an equitable sharing of a same and unique territory, founded on a national
identity, one and indivisible, the experimental Center of the Territory
functions as a model of simulation on Second Life, for the dialogue of the
differents communities that compose it.
For this new exhibition, he confides us: "The notion of Territory
interests me long time ago and I made from it the active principle of my
participative track. It perfectly applies to a country as Lebanon. This concept
predents a same portion of earth, shared by men and women of good will, who
converse under the seal of the common entity that legitimizes them. Certainly
this positioning, here and now, can be considered by some as a pure utopia, but
isn't the role of the artists to call the utopia, and tirelessly keeping on
doing so, so maybe this utopia can become one day a reality? It's at least the
teaching that bequeathed us in inheritance Roland Barthes, in his seminary held
at the College of France in 1976, title : "How to live together?" ^ |
