Environment and participation
: a psychological theme. The freench secion offers some concrete
proposals for a type of immediate communication through visual
language. In his " Biennale Eclatée " ( Exploded Biennale)
series Raymond Hains uses in ahalf-poetical, half-critical
way the graphic material (catalogues, posters) of previous
Biennales (1964-68). The Seven Object of Alin Jacquet, three-dimensional
symbols, can be seen as the achievement of a long meditative
process, centered upn the essential signifiance of the human
condition. The work of the young and talented Bertrand Lavier
reveals a sharp analyst of visual perception. Jean-Pierre
Raynaud's environmental strcture in ceramics, " Carrelage
", appears as part of his house inb the Paris surbubs moved
to Venice. Jean-Michel Sanejouand has given a planatary dimension
to his maps of " organized spaces ".
The collectif d'Art Sociologique
" publishes the third Manifesto of the Movement on this occasion.
Herve Fischer, Fred Forest, and Jean-Paul Thenot are using
the well-know " translumination " proces of Contenotte for
their own " Cultural Implosion Devices.
